Title: Vice President, Strategy
Location:
New York

A leading digital communications agency with top-tier, Fortune-500 clients is searching for a Vice President, Strategy, to expand its social media and digital customer relationship strategy offering and to help develop that offering. The VP of Strategy will run an account planning group; collaborate with the marketing division; and work on one of the largest accounts in the agency.

The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience; expertise in digital account planning; a background in financial services, consumer marketing and brand development in a consumer-based industry; and will be a recognized thought leader in marketing strategy and emerging digital media.

Responsibilities:
• Assess new innovations and emerging media in the digital space
• Monitor competitive trends
§ Find best practices across industries and understand consumer behavior
• Develop a ground-breaking, highly innovative vision and strategy for the clientıs marketing and product initiatives across multiple businesses and geographies
• Create and manage against a business vision and strategy a major account, including website and wireless strategy; online and outdoor advertising; events and contests; gaming and social networking; and other marketing platforms

Requirements:
• At least 12 years of experience required, including more than 10 years of experience in management or strategy consulting, marketing segmentation consulting and/or online marketing strategy within an interactive or traditional advertising agency, direct marketing, cable/broadcasting or a similar media environment
• Demonstrated success in full campaign planning, qualitative and quantitative analyses and products
• Experience developing, managing and inspiring internal teams; thorough experience in managing teams through the process of innovation
• Deep experience working directly with creative and media teams
• Strong experience and knowledge of working strategically with creative teams; able to contribute to creative concepts
• Topnotch leadership and administrative skills
• Senior-level skills in client negotiation and management and excellent skills in presentation, writing and communication
• Working knowledge of tools that focus on online performance tracking, brand measurement and leading-edge media-target profiling technology
• Ability to write clearly and to make lively, imaginative and substantive presentations
• Well-versed in broad marketing strategy, including development of a multi-channel business strategy, pricing, brand architecture and account planning
• Experienced in advising clients on a broad array of technology and marketing platforms
• Able to interpret and draw relevant insights from Web Side Story, MRI and other research resources and from non-syndicated sources

Title: Research Director

Responsibilities:
Manage syndicated research tools in support of agency and client stakeholders
• Identify strategic knowledge gaps through communication with client and agency stakeholders
• Design and manage qualitative and quantitative research studies
• Write questionnaires and moderator guides
• Interpret data, write reports and make recommendations on communications plans
• Research the purchase process, media, advertising effectiveness and tracking studies as well as market-level and competitive analyses
• Research ad hoc questions

Requirements:
More than 10 years of related experience (academic and/or practical experience with brand, advertising, consumer and marketing effectiveness research methodologies)
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytic skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysis
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and SPSS or SAS
